Itinerary
- Day 1 Arrival in Brussels: The Heart of Belgian Beer
Arrival in Brussels. Our first dinner will be an immersion in Belgian cuisine with beer pairings, from a refreshing Witbier to a complex Dubbel. An expert brewer will introduce us to the incredible diversity of Belgian styles.
- Day 2 Lambic and Gueuze Beers: Spontaneous Fermentation
We will visit a brewery in the Senne valley, the cradle of Lambic beers. We will learn about the unique process of spontaneous fermentation and taste Gueuze, Kriek, and other varieties straight from the source.
- Day 3 Journey to Munich: Capital of the Lager and the Reinheitsgebot
Flight to Munich. We will dive straight into local culture with a visit to a traditional 'Biergarten', enjoying a fresh Helles lager beneath the chestnut trees. We will discuss the Purity Law of 1516 (Reinheitsgebot) and its lasting impact.
- Day 4 Oktoberfest, Weissbier, and the Beer Halls
We will visit the Theresienwiese, home of Oktoberfest, to learn its history. Then, in a historic brewery, we will learn about wheat beer (Weissbier) and its serving ritual. The evening will end in one of Munich's great beer halls.
- Day 5 Journey to Prague: The Cradle of the Pilsner
Train journey to Prague. We will head to a traditional 'pivnice' (tavern) to taste the beer that changed the world: the Pilsner. We will discuss how the invention of this pale lager in 1842 revolutionized the global brewing industry.
- Day 6 Dark Lagers and Czech Tavern Culture
We will explore the other side of Czech beer: the powerful and flavorful dark lagers (tmavé pivo). A tour of historic taverns in the Malá Strana district will reveal the unique culture of Czech pubs and their different ways of serving beer.
- Day 7 Journey to Dublin: The Kingdom of the Stout
Flight to Dublin. Our first stop will be a traditional pub to enjoy a perfectly poured pint of Guinness. A local historian will tell us the story of Arthur Guinness and how his beer became an icon of Ireland.
- Day 8 The Guinness Storehouse and the Craft Beer Revolution
We will visit the Guinness Storehouse at St. James's Gate for an immersive tour that culminates with a pint at the Gravity Bar, offering 360-degree views of the city. In the afternoon, we will explore Dublin's flourishing craft beer scene.
- Day 9 Historic Pubs and Traditional Music
A walking tour will take us through some of Dublin's most famous literary pubs. The night will end with a session of traditional Irish music, where beer, conversation, and music blend into a unique cultural experience.
- Day 10 Farewell on the Emerald Isle
Free morning for a last exploration of Dublin. We will gather for a farewell lunch at a gastropub, reflecting on the different worlds we have discovered in a glass of beer. Transfer to the airport.
