Itinerary

  1. Day 1 Arrival in Florence: The Cradle of Genius

Welcome to Florence. After settling in, we will immerse ourselves in the Uffizi Gallery for a private tour at dusk. An art historian will show us the evolution from the Gothic to the High Renaissance, culminating in the rooms dedicated to Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael.

  2. Day 2 Divine Architecture and Human Sculpture in Florence

The morning will be devoted to a feat of engineering: we will climb Brunelleschi's dome atop the Duomo. In the afternoon, a face-to-face encounter with perfection: Michelangelo's David at the Galleria dell'Accademia. We will study every muscle and every vein of this iconic statue.

  3. Day 3 Siena: Gothic Splendor and Florence's Rival

An excursion to Siena, the medieval jewel of Tuscany. We will stroll through the Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful squares in the world, and marvel at the striped facade of its Duomo. An expert in Sienese art will explain the artistic and political rivalry it held with Florence.

  4. Day 4 Journey to Rome: The Power of Papal Patronage

We will take a high-speed train to Rome. Our afternoon will be spent in the Vatican Museums, with exclusive access. An expert guide will lead us straight to the Raphael Rooms and, of course, to the awe-inspiring Sistine Chapel to admire Michelangelo's crowning masterpiece.

  5. Day 5 St. Peter's and the Grandeur of Christendom

We will explore the vastness of St. Peter's Basilica, from Michelangelo's Pietà to Bernini's Baldachin. We will climb to the dome for a panoramic view of the square designed by Bernini and of all Rome. The day will include a discussion of the Counter-Reformation and its impact on art.

  6. Day 6 Echoes of Antiquity: The Pantheon and the Roman Forum

We will walk in the footsteps of the Caesars through the Roman Forum and the Palatine. Then we will marvel before the Pantheon of Agrippa, the dome that inspired the Renaissance architects. An archaeologist will reveal the secrets of ancient Rome.

  7. Day 7 Arrival in Venice: The Queen of the Adriatic

One last train journey will carry us to magical Venice. We will drop off our bags and set out on a private gondola ride through the side canals to absorb the city's unique atmosphere. The afternoon will close with a spritz on a terrace overlooking the Grand Canal, as the sun sets over La Serenissima.

  8. Day 8 Power and Justice at the Doge's Palace

We will tour the sumptuous halls of the Doge's Palace, seat of the Venetian government. We will admire the frescoes of Tintoretto and Veronese before crossing the famous Bridge of Sighs into the old prisons, feeling the contrast between the opulence of power and the harshness of justice.

  9. Day 9 Venetian Color and the Art of Glass in Murano

We will devote the morning to the Venetian school of painting at the Gallerie dell'Accademia. In the afternoon, we will take a vaporetto to the island of Murano for a private glassblowing demonstration, the secret art that symbolized the wealth of Venice.

  10. Day 10 Farewell to the Renaissance

A free morning to lose yourself one last time in Venice's labyrinth of streets and canals. We will gather for a farewell lunch at a restaurant overlooking the lagoon, sharing our reflections. Transfer by private water taxi to the airport.
